Jerry Hughes has been with Orland District 135 for about five and a half years, retiring as deputy chief of police at the Orland Park IL Police Department, serving for more than 32 years. Hughes also served as president and a board member of Education in the district from 1998 to 2007. He has a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Lewis University, a master’s degree in Management of Public Service from DePaul University, and has completed the 205th Session of the FBI Academy in 2001.
